Model Overview
The only powertrain for the Malibu Limited is a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine features direct injection and overhead cams, and includes fuel-saving stop/start technology. It makes 196 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque on regular-grade gas. This powertrain returns good fuel economy, achieving up to 34 mpg on the highway.

The 2016 Malibu Limited comes in three trims, including basic LS, mid-range LT and top-of-the-line LTZ. Remote keyless entry, cruise control and tilt/telescopic steering adjustment are among many standard features at the base LS level, while LT models include heated mirrors with integrated turn signals and Bluetooth. The optional Style and Technology package includes remote start, power-adjustable driver seat, rearview camera and a power sunroof.

The LTZ includes 18-inch aluminum wheels, a premium touch-screen audio system, voice-recognition and smartphone integration, power-adjustable leather seats and dual-zone climate control.

Across the model line, the Malibu Limited gets a dual-cockpit interior design, with high-quality materials; its exterior design also fits in with other Chevy models like the Camaro and Cruze. One of the design highlights of the interior is a radio face that swivels outward to reveal a large storage space behind.
